I linked the 2.2.2 version from the 1.1 patch to this. Retroarch probably just doesn't support game linking yet.

Was there any setting I should have turned on in order to receive the prompt? I am running Retroarch but I didn't receive the prompt. And I'll throw in a 2.2.2 patched version shortly. (it goes by checksum, so yes the new revision won't be immediately recognized)Are you running on retroarch? Odd that it didn't give you the prompt. It should prompt you to link the rom to a game. I'm able to get achievements with unmodded Mega Man X, and I'm able to patch and run Hard-Type so I'm guessing it's the revision difference that's breaking achievements. Much thanks to Lockirby2 for helping to pin down some particularly annoying bugs, and providing some savestates.Īny chance of updating these to v2.2.2 of the hack? When I patch the file with that version and run the game, I'm given a notification that the game doesn't feature achievements. No clue at all why endgame stuff wouldn't trigger otherwise.

There were no changes made to the music or sound effects in this hack. You cleared it in one sitting, with no passwords? Savestates won't keep the ram value in progress. Zero can collect and upgrade just like X, with a few differences, and it is completely possible to only play as Zero for the entirety of the game (barring scenes were it would normally force you to temporarily change characters). Furthermore, Zero has a plethora of unique skills and traits that make him feel different from X and letting them both stand out as primary characters. The developers of the hack have completely fleshed out dialogue for playing Zero in every section of the game, giving him all new lines that suite his character. There can be a total of twenty saves at any given time and each displays game data such as upgrades, number of lives, bosses defeated, etc. Mega Man X3 Zero Project completely removes the old password system for preserving your progress and replaces it with a save/load system.
