In addition, the rooms themselves are so small that the two beds inside of them have to be position so that on is horizontal and the other is vertical along the walls, such that they fit. The conditions of the showering areas and restrooms seems to always be very unclean, with clogged toilets and horrible smells. Moving on, I do not live on campus, but having been inside of the dormitories, there is a lot to be desired. Each professor I've had is easy to contact and will help you with any problem you have. I've had professors that act more like friends than mentors to me, and it goes a long way in making my experience satisfactory. As class sizes are smaller, you get the feeling that each professor knows you on a personal level, and they all have the goal of helping you succeed. It would be incredibly powerful for this community to unite and grow together while supporting one another!įreshman: The best part of Emmanuel College is definitely the professors. The College of Education has pushed me to think beyond my comfort zone, and I am so thankful for the professors and experiences, especially study abroads! Something that I would love to see change is the diversity and integration of the Athens community with UGA students. I have met some of my closest friends here, and I have also been able to challenge myself. UGA is an incredible school with so many opportunities and genuine people. This place draws the attention of those who enjoy food, sightseeing, and having fun. Downtown Athens is a special place to many in the community, and it truly is like no other. I love the atmosphere it provides for students to transition into the next stage of life with the tailgates, the athletics, the traditions, and the activities.

Senior: The University of Georgia provides so many resources and outlets for students to grow their identity and passions.
